About The Position

The Cook is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. This includes the ability to prepare large orders while preserving the quality of each plate and making adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience. The role involves reading tickets and preparing food according to guest specifications, including modifications. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The Cook will develop, maintain, and enhance positive relations with guests and employees, properly wear and maintain uniforms (including a nametag and gaming license if applicable), and maintain a clean work station. This role also involves assisting in keeping the kitchen clean and organized, alerting supervisors of concerns regarding food quality, selection, and variety, and performing duties in compliance with health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies. Maintaining alertness and general awareness of restaurant operations at all times is crucial.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent in education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience is preferred, specifically within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
