About The Position

This position is responsible for efficiently and consistently preparing all menu items and specials with great attention to quality, presentation, taste, and all other details. This includes the ability to prepare large orders in a manner that preserves the quality of each plate. The cook will also make adjustments to provide the best overall dining experience to all customers by reading tickets and making food according to guest specifications, including any modifications. Regular and reliable attendance, punctuality, and consistent presence during scheduled work hours are fundamental requirements. The role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing positive relations with all guests and employees, wearing and maintaining uniforms properly, and maintaining a clean work station. The cook will alert supervisors of any concerns regarding food quality, selection, and variety, and perform duties in compliance with health standards, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, and internal policies and procedures. Maintaining alertness and general awareness of restaurant operations at all times is also required.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated cooking experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant or gaming environment.
  • Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure.
  • Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent in education and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) or more years of recent and related cooking experience is preferred, specifically within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
