FT PM Cook
About The Position
Vista Prairie at Ridgeway, Assisted Living and Memory Care, is seeking a full-time Cook for the PM shift. The position is scheduled for 75 hours per pay period, 11 a.m.–7 p.m., Monday–Friday and every other weekend. The Cook prepares meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines, follows food safety and sanitation procedures, and helps maintain clean, organized kitchen and dining areas. The role also involves providing courteous service to residents, employees, and guests and assisting residents with personal care and service during meals as needed. Pay is $18.92–$23.81 per hour, based on experience. Shift differentials are $1 for evenings (2 p.m.–10 p.m.) and $3 for weekends (6 a.m. Saturday to 5:59 a.m. Monday).
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED.
- Training in Culinary Arts and/or one year of experience as a cook.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure food is prepared and served safely, sanitarily, and on time.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures in compliance with health regulations.
- Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- Provide friendly, attentive service to residents, employees, and guests.
- Support residents with personal care and service during meal times as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to support smooth kitchen operations and resident satisfaction.
