About The Position

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., is recruiting for a full-time Cook to work in our Dietary Department. The hours are between 6 am and 6 pm with every other weekend rotation. There is a $500 sign-on bonus for this position. Roxbury Treatment Center has been a beacon of hope and healing for 40 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Our mission is to provide high-quality behavioral health services in an environment that values service excellence, respect, ethical standards, integrity, compassion, and teamwork.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
ServeSafe certification is preferred. This training will be offered if the employee is not already ServeSafe certified.
Valid Drivers License with a safe driving record

Responsibilities

Prepares food and dessert items according to standard recipes.
Must have knowledge of the menu and products used in the dietary department.
Serves meals to patients, staff and visitors in a courteous manner with consideration to dietary needs.
Maintains and cleans assigned areas including kitchen, dining rooms, storage and receiving areas in a clean, orderly and attractive condition providing a suitable environment for patients and staff.
Assists in ordering of supplies and food products and completes weekly inventory of items.
