About The Position

Child Crisis Arizona is hiring a Cook for its ORR Mesa Program. The role prepares multiple meals and snacks for children and staff, maintains the cleanliness and upkeep of the kitchen and pantry, and assists with planning, ordering, and inventory of food and kitchen supplies. The Cook follows the approved menu and ensures compliance with licensing standards and Maricopa Health Department requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 3 years of experience in food preparation for large groups.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have a food handler’s card or be able to obtain one before starting.
Clean five-year motor vehicle history and a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Level one fingerprint clearance card or ability to obtain one before starting.
Ability to lift and carry at least 40 pounds.
Verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position.

Nice To Haves

Experience with the National School Lunch Program.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Previous experience as a food service coordinator in a shelter setting.
