About The Position

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is seeking a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The role contributes to HCSG’s efforts to positively impact the communities it serves and to enhance customer and resident experiences. The starting pay rate is USD $18.00 per hour. Residency within the service area is required. The role requires compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies and may require completion of an approved sanitation and safety course. A current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required where mandated by state or county law.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification where required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
