About The Position

As a Cook at Grand Vista Hotel, you will prepare high-quality meals in a timely and efficient manner to support exceptional guest dining experiences. You will ensure food preparation meets standards for safety, hygiene, quality, and presentation while collaborating with the kitchen team, including the Head Chef, to maintain smooth operations and culinary standards. The role contributes to menu execution, inventory management, and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen. The work directly supports guest satisfaction and the reputation of the hotel’s food service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment.
• Ability to read and speak English to understand recipes and safety instructions and communicate with team members.
• Manual dexterity and physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform kitchen tasks.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
• Ability to follow instructions and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working under the supervision of a Head Chef or in a similar culinary leadership environment.
• Formal culinary training or certification.
• Familiarity with hotel or hospitality food service operations.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively during busy service periods.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and food cost control.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and communicate effectively with team members.
• Manage food inventory and assist with receiving and storing supplies as needed.
• Stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs and moving kitchen equipment.
• Plate and present dishes promptly to meet guest expectations.
