About The Position

Broughton Hospital is currently accepting applications for a Cook. This position is primarily responsible for preparing and serving food within the Nutritional Services Department.

Requirements

  • Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
  • Education and/or experience in food preparation that is directly related to the job and consistent with accepted practices of the trade equivalent to one year of experience in a commercial and/or institutional setting.
  • Selected applicants must be able to pass a State Bureau of Investigation Criminal History Check, and complete and pass BLS/CPR training and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training during orientation.
  • This Position Is Designated As Mandatory And Must Report Or Stay Over During Adverse Weather Events.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience prepping and serving food in a commercial or hospital kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining high standards of sanitation
  • Experience in cooking and how to use recipes and production sheets
  • Experience in operating commercial food service equipment
  • Experience in serving food trays for various diet orders
