About The Position

Tel Hai is hiring cooks for its nonprofit retirement community in Honey Brook, Pennsylvania. Cooks prepare menu items and provide service to residents while following proper food-handling practices. Full-time positions are in the Stone Hearth Grille, generally 10:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m., with Sunday hours of 6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.; the schedule includes every other weekend and holiday. Part-time positions are in the Meadows Health Care Center, 11:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m., and work every other weekend and every other holiday. The posting notes that benefits may depend on hours worked.

Requirements

At least one year of prior cooking experience is required.
For part-time positions, cooking experience in a health care setting is preferred.
For full-time positions, cooking experience in a full-service restaurant or catering is preferred.

Nice To Haves

SERV Safe Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare daily menu items as needed, following proper food-handling techniques and SERV Safe standards.
Maintain cooking equipment and perform daily cleaning duties.
Offer excellent customer service and phone etiquette.
Cover, label, date, and store leftover items properly.
