About The Position

Join Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) as a Cook and prepare nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. The Cook helps deliver a positive resident and customer experience by preparing meals to planned menus and recipes, maintaining food quality and presentation, and following food safety and sanitation practices. The role also supports kitchen cleanliness, inventory and supply ordering, and positive interactions with residents, staff, and guests.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership.
Comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
Lift and carry up to 50 pounds; push and pull up to 50 pounds; and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously.
Work around food and cleaning products.
Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification as required by state or county law.
Residency within the service area is required.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience as a cook or in food preparation is preferred.
May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean, orderly kitchen.
Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
Perform other duties as assigned.
