About The Position

Rosewalk Assisted Living is hiring a part-time Cook for the evening shift. The Cook prepares meals for residents in accordance with recipes and menu cycles prepared by the Registered Dietitian, ensuring meals are fresh, attractive, palatable, nutritionally adequate, and served at proper temperatures. The role also involves supporting and supervising servers in food preparation, presentation, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment. The position contributes to residents’ well-being through care and compassion and supports fellow employees, including helping onboard new teammates. Requirements

Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values toward residents, family members, customers, and staff.
High school diploma or GED, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous full-service kitchen experience in full-service restaurants or healthcare is required.

Nice To Haves

Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling is preferred, or willingness to obtain it after job acceptance.

Responsibilities

Provide care and compassion to residents.

Cook or prepare attractive, palatable, nutritionally adequate meals in batches, ensuring freshness and proper temperatures.
Demonstrate, instruct, and educate servers on food preparation, garnishing, and presentation.
Supervise servers with food preparation, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
