About The Position

Rosewalk Assisted Living is hiring a part-time Cook for the evening shift. The Cook prepares fresh, attractive, palatable, and nutritionally adequate meals for residents, following recipes and menu cycles prepared by the Registered Dietitian. The role also supports and supervises servers with food preparation, presentation, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment, while contributing to a caring and positive team environment.

Requirements

• Demonstrate C.A.R.E. values to residents, family members, customers, and staff.
• High school diploma or GED, related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous full-service kitchen experience in a full-service restaurant or healthcare setting is required.

Nice To Haves

• Certification in Sanitation/Safe Food Handling, or willingness to obtain certification after job acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare food according to menu cycles prepared by the Registered Dietitian.
• Cook or prepare palatable, attractive, nutritionally adequate meals in batches to ensure freshness and proper temperatures.
• Demonstrate, instruct, and educate servers on food preparation, garnishing, and presentation.
• Supervise servers with food preparation, cleaning, and storage of supplies and equipment.
• Help onboard new teammates and act as a positive teammate.
• Provide residents with care and compassion.
