About The Position

The Cook prepares meals and provides food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at Bon Secours St Vincent Medical Center. Under the guidance of the chef/production manager, the Cook prepares food according to company recipes and guidelines, maintains a clean and organized work area, follows sanitation and safety procedures, and assists the team and management as needed. Part-time positions are available, with day, evening, and night shifts.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, such as fast food, hotel operations, or healthcare.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Meet physical demands including prolonged standing and walking, pushing dish racks, frequent stooping and bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience, such as cook, cooking, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, dietary cook, or healthcare foodservice experience.
