About The Position

The Cook prepares meals and provides food service for patients, the retail cafe, and catering events at St. Francis Health. Under the guidance of the chef/production manager, the Cook prepares breakfast items and high-quality meals for patients, visitors, and hospital staff while following company recipes, facility policies, and food-safety procedures. The role is full-time, with a morning schedule of 4:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at $15.50 per hour. Applicants must pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States. Healthcare facilities may require employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption. Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, such as fast food, hotel operations, or healthcare.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.
Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear a uniform.
Pass a background check and drug screen and provide proof of employment eligibility in the United States.
Stand and walk for prolonged periods; push dish racks; stoop and bend frequently; and lift up to 50 pounds.
Be able to operate equipment necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.

Nice To Haves

Culinary experience, such as cook, cooking, line cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, dietary cook, or healthcare foodservice experience.
