About The Position

The Cook / Kitchen Staff member prepares and executes recipes to standard while following kitchen processes, policies, and operational standards. Cook experience is not necessary. The role involves preparing menu items and meals, maintaining food inventory and stock, and keeping food preparation and kitchen areas clean and sanitized.

Requirements

• A strong commitment to excellent customer service and food quality.
• Ability to read and follow standardized recipes.
• Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures.
• A California Food Handler's Card; ServSafe is also acceptable.
• Previous experience in a restaurant or bakery is listed, while entry-level employees are also welcome.

Responsibilities

• Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items.
• Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Cooks to prepare meals during dining hours.
• Maintain accurate food inventories.
• Store food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Rotate stock items according to established procedures.
• Restock the kitchen for subsequent shifts.
• Clean and sanitize the food preparation area and kitchen at the end of the shift.
