About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a full-time Cook I for the Dietary Department at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville, located at Baptist Downtown in Jacksonville. This evening opportunity is scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The ideal candidate has experience in multiple kitchen areas and is proficient in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods. ServSafe certification is preferred. The Cook I prepares food for Hospital at Home patients, maintains sanitary work practices, completes assigned department documentation, and prepares meals for delivery.
Requirements
- Less than one year of food service experience preferred.
- Less than one year of cooking experience preferred.
- High school diploma preferred.
- ServSafe certification preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in multiple areas within a kitchen.
- Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and production methods.
- ServSafe certification.
Responsibilities
- Measure, mix, portion, and cook food according to provided recipes and production charts for Hospital at Home patients.
- Perform clean, safe, and sanitary work in accordance with department policies.
- Complete assigned logs, production charts, cleaning schedules, and other documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures.
- Cool, pack, and label food for the Hospital at Home meal delivery service.
