About The Position

The Cook I is responsible for setting up stations according to restaurant guidelines, preparing all food items in a sanitary and timely manner, and following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications. The role also involves restocking items, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, and assisting with the cleaning and organization of kitchen areas. Additional duties may be requested by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Positive attitude when working with peers
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understands sanitation, and safe food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures
  • Stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, talking, hearing/listening and repetitive motion
  • Standing 100% of the time
  • Lifting up to 30 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally

  • Previous line cook experience preferred

Responsibilities
