About The Position

The Cook I position involves setting up kitchen stations according to restaurant guidelines, preparing all food items in a sanitary and timely manner, and following recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications set by the Chef. Responsibilities also include restocking items throughout the shift, maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation, and assisting in the cleaning, sanitization, and organization of the kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas. The role requires open availability and a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • Ability to repetitively use arms, hands and fingers
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members
  • Positive attitude when working with peers
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills
  • Understands sanitation, and safe food handling procedures
  • Knowledge of employment and merchandise handling procedures

Nice To Haves

  • Previous line cook experience preferred
