About The Position

Join the culinary team at Monroe Residential Treatment Center for eating disorders as a Cook/Food Service Worker. Prepare meals and provide food service while meeting food safety, sanitation, and dietary standards. The role requires one year of food preparation experience in a residential or institutional setting, preferably with eating disorders, and a current SERVESAFE qualification is required. The schedule is Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM each day.

Requirements

One year of food preparation experience in a residential or institutional setting; experience with eating disorders is preferred.
High school diploma or GED.
MS Office skills.
SERVESAFE is required.

Ability to follow dietary guidelines and the exchange model.

Responsibilities

Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety.
Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines.
Handle food carefully and maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
Rotate and store food supplies.
Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.
Apportion and serve food to residents, families, and employees according to the dietary menu.
Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas for cleanliness and proper operation.
Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, poultry, and vegetables.
Bake breads, rolls, and other pastries.
Compile and maintain records of food use and spoilage, and report information to the Lead Dietitian.
Maintain safety standards throughout the kitchen.
