Requirements

Some cooking experience
Organizational skills
Ability to learn
Ability to follow a menu
Ability to work independently
Self-starter
Able to create a menu and shop accordingly within the budget
High School Diploma/GED required
Valid NYS Driver's license required

Responsibilities

Meal preparation in accordance with prescribed diets and consistencies in accordance to the planned menu.
Communicate any dietary concerns/information to the dietitian as needed.
Shopping for food and supplies as needed.
Maintaining a clean, safe and sanitary kitchen and dining area, which includes kitchen equipment, in accordance with the agency standards and regulations.
Maintaining a clean and organized pantry/food storage area.
Inventory checks.
Attending meetings and trainings as needed.
Menu planning.
Minimal personal care responsibilities, but may need to play a greater role if program is short-staffed.
