About The Position
Cooks are responsible for preparing, presenting, serving, cleaning up, and storing well-balanced, delicious meals. The role uses menus designed for seniors and requires adaptability and critical thinking to make changes as needed to ensure resident satisfaction. Encore Senior Living seeks an energetic, passionate, and detail-oriented cook who enjoys working with seniors and bringing enjoyment to residents through food. The organization offers a full training program and is willing to train the right candidate.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A flexible, energetic, and professional approach in work-related situations.
- A love for working with seniors.
Nice To Haves
- One year of experience preparing food from scratch, or equivalent experience; preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, present, and serve well-balanced meals.
- Clean up after meal service and store food appropriately.
- Follow menus specified for seniors and make changes as needed to support resident satisfaction.
