About The Position

The Ridge Foothill is looking for a caring individual with cooking experience to join us in our passion for helping seniors. Our Cooks / Chefs prepare three meals a day for our residents following prepared menus and recipes. If you have a special recipe, we'd love that you'd share that with us, too. Plus, we are conveniently located very close to I-80 and Foothill Blvd. Why commute any further?

Requirements

• Two (2) years of professional kitchen experience preferred, with a solid foundation in safe food handling, sanitation, and proper equipment use
• Strong knife skills and an eye for consistent, restaurant-quality plating
• A positive, can-do attitude and the flexibility to step into a variety of roles across the kitchen
• A true team player who communicates well and supports fellow cooks, servers, and staff
• Dependable and punctual, with a commitment to showing up ready to work when scheduled
• Ability to read, write, and speak English to follow recipes, production sheets, and safety guidelines
• Genuine care for hospitality and a desire to create memorable dining experiences for our residents

Nice To Haves

• Experience in fine dining, scratch cooking, batch cooking, and banquet production highly preferred
• Culinary degree or formal culinary training a plus
