About The Position

Confidence Management Solutions (CMS) is recruiting experienced Cooks and Dietary Aides for a long-term care nursing facility in Binghamton, NY. This role involves preparing and serving meals, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and ensuring resident satisfaction with food quality and presentation. Both full-time and part-time positions are available, with day and evening shifts, and alternating weekend and holiday work required.

Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
1 year nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepares food according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
Tastes all prepared food items for quality control.
Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains standards of cleanliness.
Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
Performs other job-related duties as they become required.
Prepares and/or assists in the preparation of meals, beverages, and snacks.
Delivers trays and carts to resident floors and dining rooms.
Assembles resident meal trays.
Works in the dish room and pot sink.
Disposes of trash and recyclables.
Follows proper cleaning techniques of all kitchen equipment and work areas.
