About The Position

ProAmpac is hiring a Converting Operator at its Cincinnati, Ohio facility. The operator runs converting bag machines safely and produces quality product with minimal scrap while meeting production schedules and keeping the work area clean. The role includes operating a paper bag machine with a packer, or running two to three machines with assistance. Operators conduct and document quality checks, perform light machine maintenance, and report major issues to a supervisor or lead person. The position also requires following work instructions and maintaining product quality, departmental certification compliance, and housekeeping in accordance with AIB/ISO standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
At least one year of manufacturing experience is required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong math and measurement skills.
Ability to work well both as part of a team and independently.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of product (plastics) or industry-specific (converting) machine experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate converting bag and paper bag machines safely and meet production schedules.
Produce product that meets production, scrap, and quality standards while minimizing scrap.
Perform and document timely quality checks throughout the shift; packer/inspectors conduct checks every half hour.
Perform light maintenance on assigned machines and communicate major issues to a supervisor or lead person.
Run a machine with help from a packer or run two to three machines with assistance.
Read, understand, and follow work instructions.
Ensure departmental compliance with certification requirements and maintain housekeeping in accordance with AIB/ISO standards.
Maintain product quality at or above required specifications.
