About The Position

The C-Store Team Lead leads a team providing an exceptional customer experience through the sale of fuel and store merchandise, processing point-of-sale transactions, and supporting the overall operations of the Convenience Store. The role includes supervising and developing Team Members, maintaining store and fuel operations, ensuring regulatory and food-safety compliance, and supporting customer loyalty and other company initiatives.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Proven ability to lead, coach, and build relationships in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to direct and motivate a diverse population of full-time and part-time Team Members.
Ability to work in a variety of temperatures, including cooler, freezer, and external/outdoor temperatures.

Nice To Haves

Two years of retail management or supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

Train, coach, mentor, develop, and supervise Convenience Store Team Members.
Provide customers with a quick and efficient checkout experience by operating transactions accurately and efficiently.
Follow city, county, and state regulations and procedures for transactions involving tobacco products, lottery tickets, and alcohol.
Ensure all safe food-handling requirements are followed.
Oversee gas mart operations, including maintenance of fuel pumps, fuel islands, and fuel operating consoles; fuel tanker drops; and related documentation.
Ensure Team Members understand and follow emergency response protocols for spills and hazardous material handling.
Answer customer questions about merchandise location, price, and use based on product specifications.
Maintain adequate merchandise stock levels and restock as needed.
Open and close the store and oversee facility security.
Ensure displays are set up according to Company directives.
Promote the Fleet Farm customer loyalty program, credit card, and other company initiatives.
