About The Position

The Convenience Site Attendant assists with daily operations at a local waste and recycling facility in Garner, NC. The role involves greeting community members, explaining proper disposal guidelines, maintaining a safe and clean site, operating and monitoring equipment, and coordinating with collection drivers. The position is available full-time or part-time, with varying shifts and weekend availability required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with the public and team members.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, safety procedures, and posted guidelines.
• Basic math skills for general site reporting or tracking, if required.
• Ability to work required shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and provide clear, polite guidance on where to dispose of household waste, bulk items, and recyclable materials.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe facility by sweeping, clearing debris, and picking up litter or spills as needed.
• Safely operate and monitor facility equipment, such as trash compactors, in accordance with company safety procedures.
• Monitor container fill levels throughout the day.
• Assist collection drivers with positioning, securing, or clearing the area around waste containers during pickups.
• Open and close the facility punctually according to scheduled operating hours.
• Follow federal, state, and local safety standards, regulations, and company guidelines.
