About The Position

Avancez Assembly is seeking a Controls Intern to join their team. This internship offers an opportunity to learn from plant Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and Process Experts, implement creative ideas, and drive continuous improvement. The intern will assist the engineering team with automation, tooling, lean, and other engineering projects, prepare project documentation, and help troubleshoot and debug assembly equipment. They will also perform and document control system testing, review reports, develop 'How To' instructions, and apply controls solutions to manufacturing opportunities.

Requirements

  • Working towards a degree from an accredited College or University in Engineering
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs
  • Microsoft Office tools experience required
  • Continuous Improvement mindset

Responsibilities

  • Learn from plant Manufacturing and Controls Engineers and Process Experts
  • Implement Create Ideas and drive Continuous Improvement
  • Assist engineering team with completing automation, tooling, lean, and other engineering projects
  • Prepare presentations, technical documents, and other project documentation
  • Assist troubleshooting, debugging, and developing improvements with auto and semi-auto assembly equipment
  • Coordinate with others to determine root cause and implement permanent solutions
  • Perform and document control system testing
  • Review reports and test results to help develop or implement permanent improvements
  • Develop How To instructions for all levels of operations
