BAS - Controls Design Engineer
About The Position
The Controls Systems Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, designing, and managing Building Automation Systems (BAS) and their architecture. This role involves developing sequences of operations, conducting site visits for job walks, and leading the development of detailed automation designs for submittals. The engineer will ensure timely and efficient delivery of controls designs and support lead engineers, with a willingness to learn specific BAS programming languages. The company, founded over 15 years ago, serves clients in Healthcare, Commercial, Education, and Construction Service sectors, offering services in Building Automation, Hardware, Sensors, Energy Reporting, and Integrations.
Requirements
- Prior experience as an applications or Controls Design Engineer
- Knowledge and Understanding of BAS Operations
Nice To Haves
- Experience using MS Visio or AutoCAD
Responsibilities
- Create, design, and manage BAS systems and architecture using MS Visio or AutoCAD
- Develop Sequence of Operations for each project
- Visit customer sites to perform job walks
- Lead and develop detailed automation designs and prepare them for submittals
- Ensure controls designs for the project are delivered on time and efficiently
- Help and support lead engineers
- Willingness to learn how to program in specific BAS lines
