About The Position

EMCOR Services Automated Controls, a Debra-Kuempel brand, is hiring a Building Automation Systems (BAS) Design Engineer. The role designs system architecture, develops installation plans, and sets project pacing at the beginning of projects. It also involves designing automatic temperature control and energy management systems, including producing control schematics and wiring diagrams, defining sequences of operation, programming, and preparing material lists based on customer needs and project plans or specifications. The engineer develops BAS and direct digital control (DDC) systems, interprets construction documents, programs control logic, and integrates third-party systems. The position serves as technical lead on assigned projects, makes engineering decisions, reviews design deliverables, identifies project risks and ambiguities, and provides technical leadership during commissioning. The role collaborates across teams, specifies control components, maintains project documentation, and recommends design improvements. The position is onsite and may require travel to field locations.
