About The Position

The Controls Design Engineer will be responsible for creating, designing, and managing Building Automation Systems (BAS) and architecture. This role requires prior experience as an Applications Engineer or similar, with a fundamental understanding of programming and troubleshooting. The engineer will also be involved in ordering parts, coordinating deliveries, creating Bills of Materials, and visiting customer sites for job walks. Additionally, the position involves leading the development of automation data and designs, preparing them for submittals, and supporting controls programmers and project managers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.

Requirements

Prior experience as Applications Engineer or similar position
Create, design, and manage BAS systems and architecture using MS Visio or AutoCAD
Develop Sequence of Operations for each project
Order parts for technicians and coordinate delivery with multiple vendors
Create of Bill of Materials
Fundamental understanding of programming or basic troubleshooting of existing programs on Tridium
Visit customer sites to perform job walks
Lead and develop detailed automation data and designs and prepare them for submittals
Ensure controls designs for the project are delivered on time and efficiently
Help and support controls programmers and project managers
