About The Position

BENTELER is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Controlling Specialist to join its US team. The role supports financial transparency, strategic insights, and operational excellence across regional operations, with a focus on financial reporting and analysis and continuous improvement. The position is permanent and full-time, with 40 weekly working hours and travel of up to 10%.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• SAP ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead consolidation and reporting of North American Non-Serial expenditures, including Tooling, Prototypes, and Capital Expenditures (CAPEX).
• Oversee Profit and Loss (PnL) consolidation across Actuals, Forecasts, and Budget cycles, ensuring accuracy and alignment with corporate financial goals.
• Adjust financial plans based on target settings and performance insights.
• Analyze and benchmark financial performance to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare strategic recommendations to enhance target achievement and financial outcomes.
• Review and validate monthly financial reports for completeness, consistency, and plausibility.
• Provide commentary and insights on monthly reporting to support decision-making.
• Prepare presentations for Cluster Reviews and monthly management meetings.
• Support plants with financial and operational issues as needed.
• Contribute to the development and optimization of accounting, finance, and controlling systems.
• Support continuous improvement of the control system and reporting tools.
