About The Position
Steel Tool & Engineering Co. in Trenton, MI is seeking an experienced Controller for a full-time opportunity where your expertise doesn't just support the business, it moves it forward. As our Controller, you'll oversee daily accounting operations, guide AR and AP functions, maintain the chart of accounts, post and reconcile general ledger activity, manage fixed assets, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements. You'll bring clarity and confidence to leadership decisions while keeping financial operations running smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Preferably in a manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations
- Guide AR and AP functions
- Maintain the chart of accounts
- Post and reconcile general ledger activity
- Manage fixed assets
- Ensure timely, accurate financial statements
