About The Position

We are partnering with a growing manufacturing organization to identify a hands-on Controller to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support overall financial performance. This role will oversee a small team and play a key part in cost accounting, inventory management, and financial reporting. This is a full-time, onsite roll where you would be directly hired by NOW CFO's client and a member of their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being both strategic and in the weeds, with strong exposure to operations and leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of inventory, job costing, and financial reporting
• Experience working within an ERP system (Epicor or similar preferred)
• Knowledge of compliance and reporting standards including government contract exposure
• Advanced Excel skills and overall systems proficiency
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities

Nice To Haves

• CPA or CMA
• Experience with Epicor and/or Power BI

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Manage job costing lifecycle and analyze profitability across projects
• Lead inventory accounting, including physical counts, valuation, and ERP reconciliation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ongoing financial reporting
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with applicable reporting standards
• Partner with operations to improve cost visibility and overall financial performance
• Assist with audits and coordinate with external auditors as needed
• Oversee and develop accounting staff while remaining hands-on in daily operations
