About The Position

This role is for a finance leader who is detail-oriented, takes ownership, and uses their expertise to drive the business forward in a fast-paced environment. The Controller will act as the financial authority, providing clear direction and financial clarity as the company scales towards $100M. The ideal candidate takes pride in their expertise, wants to be relied upon, and is motivated to grow with the business. The position involves working through details, making decisions, and coaching the accounting team to execute at a higher level. The Controller will be instrumental in helping the business build stronger financial clarity, enabling leaders to make better decisions and positioning the company for future growth.

Requirements

  • Controller or equivalent finance leadership experience, serving as the financial partner to ownership or executive leadership
  • Experience supporting a fast-growing business through multiple growth stages ($25M–$80M+), including building scalable financial infrastructure, reporting, and systems
  • Strong ownership of forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, cash flow, and CapEx
  • Experience building and managing multi-location or multi-entity P&Ls
  • Experience leading and developing an accounting or finance team (4+ team members)
  • QuickBooks Online expert

  • Experience supporting growth in a $50M–$100M organization
  • Experience in home services or remodeling environments (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, restoration, kitchen/bath, siding, windows)
  • Experience in field-based, job-driven businesses (e.g., installation, technician-led services, franchise or multi-location service brands, commercial services with repeatable work)

Responsibilities

  • Own the accounting function and ensure financials are accurate, timely, and useful to the business
  • Build clear P&Ls across locations and markets so leadership understands true profitability
  • Partner with leaders across the business to explain what the numbers mean and where to focus next
  • Analyze pricing, job profitability, break-even points, and expansion opportunities so leaders can make better decisions
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and rolling financial planning as the business continues to scale
  • Create clear visibility into cash flow, working capital, CapEx, and growth investments
  • Evaluate financing options and capital strategies that support growth and prevent overextension
  • Build reports, dashboards, and financial outputs that make performance easy to understand
  • Strengthen accounting processes, controls, and systems so finance can keep pace with growth
  • Evaluate and improve tools across QuickBooks, Salesforce, payroll, and related systems
  • Maintain banking and lender relationships to support financing, leverage, and growth planning
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable the accounting team
  • Develop the accounting team’s skill set as the department grows
  • Align financial processes to how Redo actually runs, not just how accounting has always been done
  • Stay visible across locations and markets to understand operations and support growth
