The ideal Controller is a hands‑on financial leader with deep expertise in GAAP, cost accounting, and multi‑division manufacturing operations, who partners effectively across operations to drive margin, inventory, and working capital improvements. This individual is detail‑oriented yet strategic, calm under pressure, process‑driven, and a collaborative people leader who brings strong financial discipline to a complex, commodity‑based environment. As a Controller, you’ll play a key role in in safeguarding the financial integrity of the organization while enabling operational and strategic decision‑making across a complex, multi‑division manufacturing business. This role partners closely with leadership to improve margins, strengthen controls, and support sustainable growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within manufacturing, food production, agriculture, or commodity‑based industries, including leadership in multi‑entity environments
  • Strong GAAP and cost accounting expertise
  • ERP system experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Dynamics)
  • advanced Excel and financial reporting skills
  • Strong people leader, highly detail‑oriented with strategic perspective, effective cross‑functional communicator, process‑driven, adaptable, and calm in fast‑paced, operationally complex environments

Nice To Haves

  • CPA strongly preferred
  • CPA certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Leading all accounting operations and ensuring accurate, timely multi‑entity financial reporting in compliance with GAAP
  • Overseeing cost accounting, inventory valuation, and operational finance to enhance margin visibility and plant performance
  • Strengthening internal controls, cash flow management, and cross‑functional financial insights to support strategic decisions
