Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or master’s degree in accounting.
4+ years of related experience with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated expertise in cost accounting, including standard costing methodologies and variance analysis.
Proficiency in accounting software systems (e.g. ERP, SAP, NetSuite, Accumatica, or Aptean)
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Upholds the highest standards of professional and ethical conduct.
Familiarity with inventory management systems, bill of materials, labor reporting, and work centers.
Requires a good understanding of the processes and challenges of working with manufacturing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions in a timely and organized manner.
Comfort analyzing information from databases and other systems (e.g., Excel) to identify patterns, and the ability to present accounting reports and concepts in a clear, understandable format.

Responsibilities

All financial transaction processing and reporting for the company.
Managing standard cost data for products in the ERP system including material, labor, and overhead costs.
Identify, analyze, and report variances between standard and actual costs, providing root-cause analysis.
Oversee all financial accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing and fixed assets.
Preparation of company financial statements, external reports, and support for income tax reporting.
Sits on the senior leadership team to set the strategic direction for the company.
Position includes supervision of one direct report.
