Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
- Healthcare experience required
- Strong knowledge of healthcare financial operations, budgeting, and reporting
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Nice To Haves
- CPA preferred
- Nursing home or long-term care experience preferred but not required
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and reimbursement processes preferred
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local financial regulations
- Monitor cash flow, banking relationships, and financial controls
- Coordinate audits and work closely with external auditors and consultants
- Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff
- Assist with reimbursement analysis and healthcare-related financial reporting
- Maintain internal controls and implement process improvements where necessary
- Collaborate with department leaders to support operational and financial goals
