Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or human resources, CPA designation required
  • minimum of three years of relevant experience, preferably in a non-profit environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with school representatives, parents, students, and representatives from the business community.
  • Working knowledge of business accounting policies, procedures, practices and software programs.
  • Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
  • Ability to supervise and manage multiple functions and activities.

Responsibilities

  • Design, create, and facilitate experiences to engage students in their learning while collaborating with other first-grade teachers, in accordance with the policies, curriculum, and philosophy of the school and treat each child with dignity and respect.
  • Uphold and support the mission of the School and support the Six Values of our Episcopal Identity.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and community members while maintaining a positive team attitude.
  • Provides leadership to all in the Business Office in support of the school’s mission, by supervising staff in the areas of accounting, payroll & benefits, student billing, database administration
  • Oversees annual financial statement audit and prepares the financial portion of annual school surveys
  • Supports and facilitates the Assets, Investment and Audit Committees, including preparation of regular financial statements and all custom financial & strategic reports
