About The Position

A well-established and busy real estate brokerage based in Oakville, Ontario is seeking an experienced Part-Time Controller / Senior Bookkeeper with strong Lone Wolf accounting experience to support the day-to-day financial operations of the brokerage. This role is ideal for someone who is highly detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced real estate environment. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience with brokerage accounting, trust accounting procedures, reconciliation processes, and commission review. This is a confidential search for a brokerage requiring immediate support and oversight on weekly accounting operations.

Requirements

  • Direct experience using Lone Wolf accounting software is required
  • Previous real estate brokerage accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of trust accounting and commission structures
  • Excellent reconciliation and bookkeeping skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and reporting abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Ontario brokerage accounting experience considered a strong asset

Responsibilities

  • Weekly bank and trust account reconciliations
  • Reviewing commission and transaction entries for accuracy
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable oversight
  • Payroll support and processing coordination
  • HST tracking and remittance preparation
  • Monthly reconciliations and accounting cleanup
  • Weekly bank review and reporting for management
  • Reviewing closing activity on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Identifying discrepancies, missing entries, and reconciliation issues
  • Assisting with month-end accounting procedures as needed
