About The Position

The Control Systems Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic and pneumatic control systems and equipment used in building automation, HVAC, and other facility systems. This role ensures the efficient and reliable operation of these systems, contributing to energy conservation and occupant comfort.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic and pneumatic control systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation.
  • Experience with various control system software and hardware.
  • Valid Nevada Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

  • Vocational or technical school training in electronics, HVAC, or a related field.
  • Certifications in relevant control systems (e.g., Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).
  • Experience with energy management systems.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and pneumatic control systems and equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond to service calls and emergency repairs related to control systems.
  • Calibrate control devices and sensors.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Work with various control system software and hardware platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and district policies.
  • Document all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments.
