Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of related work experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, automotive, and/or security system trades or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Criminal, credit, and DMV background checks, including Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) fingerprinting.
- A valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined locations on occasional basis.
- Ability to work in hazardous locations or perform hazardous work.
Nice To Haves
- Hold or ability to obtain CFC license (Universal Refrigerant Recovery) and forklift license within six (6) months of hire.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and directly to work requests.
- Diagnose, initiate, and complete minor mechanical, electric, and plumbing repairs in County Government facilities.
- Receive and close-out work requests by computer and/or hand-held electronic device.
- Inspect facilities and report HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems or unsafe conditions.
- Routinely meet with County employees and supervisors when responding to work requests.
- Provide superior customer service at all times.
