Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year of related work experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, automotive, and/or security system trades or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Criminal, credit, and DMV background checks, including Criminal Justice Information System (CJIS) fingerprinting.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
  • Ability to work in confined locations on occasional basis.
  • Ability to work in hazardous locations or perform hazardous work.

Nice To Haves

  • Hold or ability to obtain CFC license (Universal Refrigerant Recovery) and forklift license within six (6) months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and directly to work requests.
  • Diagnose, initiate, and complete minor mechanical, electric, and plumbing repairs in County Government facilities.
  • Receive and close-out work requests by computer and/or hand-held electronic device.
  • Inspect facilities and report HVAC, plumbing, and electrical problems or unsafe conditions.
  • Routinely meet with County employees and supervisors when responding to work requests.
  • Provide superior customer service at all times.
