Control Room Operator
About The Position
The Utah Department of Transportation is hiring a part-time, temporary Control Room Operator for up to 29 hours per week at its Traffic Operations Center in Salt Lake City. The role provides administrative and operational support, including maintaining control room materials, coordinating construction plans involving Variable Message Signs, and providing occasional shift coverage. The position requires successfully passing a criminal history check. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of administrative, office support, or customer service experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong organizational skills.

- Successfully pass a criminal history check.
Responsibilities
- Maintain control room policies, manuals, and project records.
- Assist with reports and presentations.
- Prepare and coordinate construction plans involving Variable Message Signs (VMS).
- Provide occasional shift coverage, monitor traffic conditions, document incidents, and manage traveler information.
