About The Position

The Control Room Operator executes approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures to ensure the facility meets its operational, environmental, and safety commitments while operating safely and efficiently. The role monitors plant operations, responds to alarms, guides other operators, and manages critical events, including emergencies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete the ASME QRO Provisional Licensing exam within the first year of holding the position.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Ability to walk, stand, sit, and climb.
• Ability to lift or carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Qualify to wear a full-face respirator.
• Ability to work consistently in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Execute approved plant start-up and shutdown procedures.
• Provide guidance to Crane, Auxiliary, and Back Plant Operators to maintain safe and efficient operations.
• Monitor Reworld operations systems and maintain working knowledge of boiler, turbine, and auxiliary equipment operations.
• Manage critical events and prioritize tasks during emergencies, providing clear directions on operational, safety, and environmental tasks.
• Respond to operational alarms and take immediate corrective action.
• Apply operational best practices, problem-solving, and sound decision-making to support safety and operational goals.
