CONTROL CLERK
About The Position
Rite of Passage is hiring a Control Clerk at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas. AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside Little Rock. The campus includes residential dormitories, an on-site school and library, vocational training, a chapel, gymnasium, medical facilities, and outdoor recreation areas. The Control Clerk works at the Control Desk, providing a professional, responsive, and effective administrative point of contact for people entering and exiting the premises. The role monitors site access, property cameras, radio communications, and the phone system; directs calls to the appropriate parties; and receives and dispenses keys, radios, and mechanical restraints as necessary. The position may also assist in other facility areas and monitor the metal detector for contraband. The position pays $17.75–$18.82 per hour, depending on education and experience. A $1,000 bonus is offered upon completion of Essential Skills Training. The posted schedule is five days on and two days off, with the current opening Tuesday through Saturday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; Sunday and Monday are off.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check, drug test, physical, and TB test.
- Ability to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry.
- Ability to meet the requirements to become an ROP-eligible driver, including having a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Monitor individuals entering and leaving the site.
- Monitor cameras covering all areas of the property.
- Actively engage with and monitor the radio system.
- Ensure communications are professional and efficient.
- Monitor the phone operating system and direct calls to the correct party.
- Receive and dispense personal keys, facility keys, radios, and mechanical restraints as necessary.
- Assist in other areas of the facility as needed.
- Monitor the metal detector for contraband.
