Contributions Manager

Founders PledgePhiladelphia, PA
Hybrid

About The Position

We're looking for a Contributions Manager to help us build the next generation of our contributions infrastructure. The goal is a model that's seamless for members, efficient for internal teams, and underpinned by strong systems and processes. This is not a traditional gift-processing role. You'll be a detail-oriented operator who enjoys taking something that works and making it work better: more scalable, more integrated, and more partner-enabled. Working closely with our Head of Philanthropic Services, Travers Oliver, you'll help strengthen the workflows, controls, and partner pathways that support contributions into Founders Pledge: from standard cash wires and DAF grants through to more complex, non-cash assets like private equity or LLC interests. This is a two-year fixed-term role with a clear build-out mandate. By the end of it, our contributions model should be something we're proud to put in front of any member, advisor, or partner, anywhere in the world. Note for Philadelphia-based candidates: You'll have the opportunity to work directly alongside our Head of Philanthropic Services, with a front-row seat to how contributions strategy is shaped at the organisational level.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in financial operations, gift processing, or a similar philanthropic services role
  • A solid understanding of the US charitable landscape, including the operational nuances of DAFs and non-cash asset transfers
  • Good instincts for process: you notice what isn't working, think through how to fix it, and follow through
  • High attention to detail: you understand that in global finance and philanthropy, accuracy is the foundation of trust

Nice To Haves

  • Some exposure to the UK or German charitable sectors (if not, you have the analytical ability to get up to speed quickly)
  • A CAP® (Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy) or CSPG (Certified Specialist in Planned Giving) designation
  • A background at a modern DAF provider, a tech-forward Community Foundation, or a top-tier University Advancement office

Responsibilities

  • Building Global Contribution Pathways: Operationalising international flows: Working with leadership, you'll help build the "Global Playbook" for accepting funds outside the US, with an initial focus on contributions from the UK and Germany. Jurisdictional best practice: You'll help translate jurisdiction-specific requirements (such as UK Gift Aid or German tax receipting) into clear, repeatable operational workflows, with support from leadership and external advisors. Intermediary management: You'll work with our international giving intermediaries that facilitate cross-border asset movement. Pathway documentation: Complex global requirements become clean, internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that let our team scale without reinventing the wheel.
  • Asset Facilitation & Partner Coordination: Universal asset oversight: You'll manage the intake of a wide range of assets, including cash, publicly traded securities, and complex assets, working closely with our industry partners and senior team members throughout. Advisor collaboration: You'll be a key point of contact for members' professional advisors (wealth managers, CPAs, legal counsel), making sure documentation is accurate and complete. DAF facilitation: You'll manage grants from Donor Advised Fund providers, including Daffy, Fidelity, Schwab, and NPT, making sure funds are correctly reconciled and recorded.
  • Compliance & Data Integrity: System management: You'll maintain our CRM as the single source of truth for all global contributions, keeping data clean and actionable for Finance and Member teams alike. Regulatory coordination: You'll ensure all contributions meet local regulatory requirements (KYC/AML) across each jurisdiction. Cross-team integration: You'll work closely with Finance to ensure accurate accounting and a smooth handoff for grant-making once assets are liquidated.
