About The Position

The Contracts Manager, under broad supervision, works with the Procurement and Contracts Deputy Director to support the coordination of contract services.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional job experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management, which includes two (2) years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Or two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Purchasing Agent Spv (FET043) or position equivalent.
Communication -clearly communicate business needs, expectations and concerns
Project Management -overseeing procurement projects from initiation to completion

Nice To Haves

2+ years contracting experience in the public sector.
2+ years public procurement and strategic sourcing
2+ years Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software experience i.e Peoplesoft, Workday
Georgia Certified Purchasing Manager (GCPM)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Responsibilities

Responsible for the development and coordination of the contracting process in compliance with State Code and DOAS regulations.
Provides guidance in the development, negotiation, and evaluation of contracts.
Review and approve routing of contracts, amendments, and renewals for Direct Services, MOUs, and MOAs.
Interviews, hires, directs, trains, evaluates the performance of, and when necessary, disciplines and discharges employees.
Examines plans and verifies that project data complies with specifications and established procedures.
Responsible for periodic audits of contractual requirements and payments.
Ensures Contract Staff work in cooperation with the Program Staff to add funds in TeamWorks for the approval of Requisitions. and Purchase Orders
Responsible for setting the tone for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
