About The Position

LMI seeks a Contract and Acquisition Specialist who will work on-site at the client organization located at Fort Lee, Virginia. The Contracts and Acquisition Specialist will provide subject matter expertise in the federal acquisition process and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), acquisition and contract planning and preparation, procurement strategies, contract management, and acquisition/contract documentation support and tracking, software procurement and Licensing Management. Further responsibilities include responding to internal taskers as needed, attending meetings to represent the Program Management Office as the point of contact, and responding to client requests regarding Contracting and Acquisition Information. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s Degree in business, management, finance, or a related discipline.
  • 4 years of relevant experience may be substituted for required bachelor’s degree
  • Active Secret Clearance required and ability to obtain CAC
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders at all levels of leadership.
  • Ability to effectively research solutions to problems and challenges with contracting.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System (DTS)

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years’ experience supporting complex government and preferably US Army systems acquisitions preferred with working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation

Responsibilities

  • Provide subject matter expertise in the federal acquisition process and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), acquisition and contract planning and preparation, procurement strategies, contract management, and acquisition/contract documentation support and tracking, software procurement and Licensing Management.
  • Respond to internal taskers as needed.
  • Attend meetings to represent the Program Management Office as the point of contact.
  • Respond to client requests regarding Contracting and Acquisition Information.
  • Support with Acquisition Strategy, DoDI 5000.75 requirements, Acquisition reporting, Acquisition support for Sustainment, Development & Deployment, and support Contract Development for Business Capabilities Acquisition.
  • Provide software procurement, licensing maintenance support, and tracking of all contract actions and efforts for program management office.
  • Experience with 508 The Accessibility Requirements Tool (ART) and DITCO Requirement Checklists.
