About The Position
The Contract Teacher provides instruction for select courses in the hiring department and performs other duties as assigned. The position pays a minimum of $152.10 for each classroom hour. Education, experience, and license or certification requirements beyond the stated minimums vary depending on the program.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Able to read, write legibly, and speak English with professional quality.
- Able to use a computer, printer, and software programs necessary for the position, such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Able to communicate effectively by telephone.
- Able to think critically, manage multiple assignments, and organize and prioritize workload.
- Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.
- Able to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure.
- Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and by telephone and identify workplace sounds; and see adequately to read computer screens and necessary written documents.
Nice To Haves
- Minimum one year of experience preferred.
- Knowledge of current technology and educational media used in teaching and presentations.
- Educational degree beyond a high school diploma, as required for the specific program.
- License or certification, if applicable, as required for the specific program.
