About The Position

The Foundation for California Community Colleges (FoundationCCC) is seeking a Contract Specialist to join its Enterprise and Procurement Services (EPS) department. This role is 100% remote and requires the candidate to reside in California. The FoundationCCC is dedicated to benefiting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges system, aiming to provide students and colleges with the resources they need to succeed and expand pathways to economic and social mobility. The Contract Specialist will provide comprehensive support, including contract drafting and negotiation, lifecycle management, policy compliance, risk management, and customer service, working closely with the Legal Operations and Contracts departments to ensure alignment.

Requirements

  • Relevant BA/BS, equivalent work experience, or a combination of both.
  • Minimum of four (3) + years of progressive related work experience.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and proactively; anticipate problems, analyze situations, develop effective solutions and communicate clearly throughout that process.

  • Advanced degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) + years of experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Enterprise & Procurement Services (EPS) department, including contract drafting and negotiation, contract administrative lifecycle management, policy and contract compliance, document collection, risk management, information governance, and customer service.
  • Support the contract portfolio lifecycle by drafting contract modifications, extensions, amendments, notices, and preliminary agreement documents.
  • Ensure supplier provisions comply with FoundationCCC Contracts Policy, EPS Procurement & Contracting Policy, and Legal Department guidance.
  • Provide general administrative and contract support, including proofreading and formatting documents, organizing contract and legal files, filing, preparing correspondence and mailings, and scheduling appointments.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Business Systems teams to establish data entry standards, incorporate data retention requirements, maintain high data quality, optimize Salesforce reporting capabilities, and identify opportunities for improvement.
