About The Position

Ayar Labs is seeking a Contract Recruiter to join their team. The company is a pioneer in co-packaged optics (CPO), using light instead of electricity to move data faster, further, and with less energy, which is crucial for the growth of AI models. Ayar Labs has significant backing from industry leaders and is manufactured in partnership with leading semiconductor companies. They have an aggressive hiring plan for the next six months and need a Technical Sourcer to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for deeply technical engineering roles. This role requires a highly motivated self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is willing to reach out to a high volume of engineers on LinkedIn. The company emphasizes proactive sourcing through LinkedIn, employee referrals, and networks, rather than waiting for applicants. The Contract Recruiter will partner with the Director of Talent Acquisition to fill open positions.

Requirements

4+ years in semiconductors, electronics and/or optical communications
Exceptional organizational skills with a high sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Able to learn and communicate complex technical information
4+ years of experience direct sourcing engineers using LinkedIn

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a tech startup
Prior experience in a recruiting firm
Experience with Paycor

Responsibilities

Identify and proactively source qualified candidates on LinkedIn
Conduct proactive sourcing using Boolean search, X-ray search, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and niche semiconductor community platforms
Respond to initial candidate questions, as needed
Act as a trusted partner with our Talent Acquisition team
Maintain a strong sense of urgency while preserving quality and judgement (we aspire to hire only best-in-class “A” players)
